I Really enjoyed reading Haunted U and the main character Ezzie a 17 year old Witch trying to choose which Coven to join her Grandmothers or her Mothers.The book includes a great mixture of characters.The story line is exciting,fun and Mysterious.Well written and great characters I look forward to seeing what else is in store for Ezzie.

Elle picked up Evan, Tara and Lila at the airport. As she approached the threesome, she gasped at the sight of her emaciated daughter. For a few moments, Tara’s eyes scanned every inch of her mother’s face before she spread her twig-like arms. Elle hugged her, then pulled away and peered into her sunken eyes. “Are you sick?” she asked.
While Tara shrugged, Elle grabbed Evan for a hug. “I’ll explain it on the way,” he whispered in her ear.
Lila stood there, looking up at her grandmother—curiously.
Elle bent down and smiled at the baby. “Hello, my love,” she whispered, “Grandma’s waited much too long to meet you.” The little girl was a living doll. She had Tara’s strawberry blond curls and the same dark eyes as Alice.
Lila grinned. “Hi, Gramma,” she said, and never flinched when Elle scooped her up and kissed her cheek.

I was intrigued just by the title after I started reading the book was hard to put down.A Great Thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat the characters and story line are well put together.

I found Legends of Amun Ra: The Emerald Tablet a exhilarating read. Being a huge fan of Mythology I love how the author incorporates Greek and Egyptian Mythology into the Story line and the main character only being thirteen is a nice touch and makes it a fun read.All the characters were well developed and even though I really enjoyed reading the blend of Genres Sci Fi,Fantasy and Mythological .I look forward to reading more.

Review:
The book has a well developed cast of characters and a good story line .I especially loved learning about the main characters Tyler and Toby part of the Indigo children there abilities coupled by the journey really made the story pop. Although I thought it started off a little slow in the beginning it really took off a few pages in and had me captivated wondering what would happen next.
This is a great read and I look forward to the rest of the Trilogy.

The Book starts out strong I was hooked from the first Chapter where the story really takes off . The author gives a in depth description of the main character Hollis and the rest of the members of the Fallen Angels Book Club and does a excellent job of creating a story line that's both realistic and suspenseful .Reading this there was never a dull moment.I really look forward to reading more from this author.

Tonight it was my turn to come early and set up the space for our book club meeting. Our monthly gatherings were held in a small windowless conference room adjacent to the San Isidro Library’s main reading area. The Fallen Angels Book Club was an exclusive group, not only a love of books was required. You also had to be a white collar ex-felon.
I rubbed my hands together and peeled off gloves. My fingers felt like icicles. Thank goodness someone remembered to turn on the heat. The door opened and a gush of wind blew a cluster of leaves into the room along with Gene Donovan who tossed his hoodie and a small brown leather “man purse” onto one of the folding chairs.
“Hollis, let me help you with that.” His tousled blond hair was more askew than usual. Placing his book on the floor, he came over to where I struggled to roll out the meeting table.
“Appreciate it.” I straightened my back and allowed him to carry the bulk of the table’s weight. Fortunately, when I was with Gene, we didn’t have to speak. I caught a glance at his manicured nails and tucked mine into my palms. I liked Gene. He wasn’t afraid to show his feminine side.
We took special care not to drag the metal chair legs across the glowing veneer of the hardwood floor. Its beauty came from the handiwork of the night cleaning crew who waited for us to leave so they could begin their labor.
We settled into our chairs when Rory Norris strode in, let the door slam and dumped his books on the table. His hazel eyes did a sweep across the room as if expecting an ambush. A few more pounds had crept onto his already thickening frame.
Rory patted his black leather jacket as he laid it over the chair. “Hey, people, did you notice if they lock the gates to the parking lot? My Beemer just got detailed and I don’t want some neighborhood juvenile mistaking it for a marker board.”
“Nice touch, Norris, letting us know you got a new BMW.” Richard Kleh came in pulled off his knitted skull cap, revealing an emerging bald crown. He nodded toward the door. “Go check for yourself. Hey, Hollis, did you finish the read?”
“Of course. You’re the one who never finishes a book.”
“Well, I finished this one. It had me going until the end. The characters were realistic and…and…”
“Memorable?” I could tell from his frown he wasn't kidding.

A interesting concept and even more interesting book where the main character Olive gets to redo a entire year.Seems great doesn't it?The Repeat year is very well written the story line is one of a kind and the characters are ones I could easily relate to.I kept was glued to it and was hoping Olive could fix her mistakes and prevent any others from occurring. It really leaves the reader wondering would I want to repeat a whole year or better could I stand to repeat a whole year.

This book is very well written .Amy does a Great job introducing the main character Jenny and really letting you get to know her and as any parent can relate to the struggles of raising children especially when your Husband just disappears one night after 5 years of marriage and 2 kids .This was a really good book one that I could definitely read more than once.I look forward to reading more from Amy Shearn.

Mandy Behbehani does a excellent job in depicting the raw emotions that come with Divorce through the main character Maddy a 50 ish stay at home mother of 3 whose husband Steven decides to announce one day while grocery shopping that he wants a divorce and better yet leaves her for another (much younger woman).I loved how Maddy's journey unfolded from the beginning of the Divorce to her being happy again and all the stops in between.It was a very touching and inspiring story of finding yourself again and realizing it's never to late to go after your dreams.I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

In a Small Town is the first book in a series and it got me intrigued right from the start. Marc does a great job of bringing the characters to life and making you feel as though your right there.A good fast paced thriller that held my attention from start to finish.

Chapter One Not In Our Town I can’t get it out of my mind. The lightning that exploded from the end of the barrel. The ripping orange flash off the black steel. The smell of gunpowder. The sound, like an M-80. And the pain—the fucking searing pain. It is permanently scorched into my memory. Everything but his face. The face I didn’t see haunts me every second. All I remember are those ultra-white Reebok sneakers as he ran away. The fucking coward would have shot me in the back, but I turned around and caught the blast in the chest. I didn’t have time to pull my Glock. The shot knocked me to the ground. I thought I was having a heart attack—I couldn’t catch my breath. Then I understood what happened, and reality hit: I was going to die. It seemed to take minutes rather than seconds, but I managed to radio into headquarters. The response from the good guys was impressive, to say the least. They saved my life. Cops from my own town and others surrounded the scene. I knew they would come. When a cop gets shot, they all come, and with one thing in mind—to find the bastard who pulled the trigger. Things grew foggy. I saw blue uniforms scurrying around the scene while white-clad EMTs lifted me onto the gurney and loaded me into the ambulance. I could hear people talking about me—reporters, other cops, curious residents. “Detective Matthew Longo…Only 29 years old, been on the force nearly 10 years…Shot in the fucking chest and shoulder. No wife or children. Parents live in town; Hutchville lifers. Oh yeah, the town is going to go batshit over this.” Blood oozed from my left shoulder. My friend and paramedic Scotty Franks hovered over me and placed direct pressure on my wound. Even through my fog I could tell he was holding back tears. My shoulder was on fire. I never wore my bulletproof vest unless making entry on a search warrant, or if a hot pursuit was coming my way; then I quickly threw it over my shirt. I was lucky I had it on that night. Maybe someone on the other side was looking out for me. I fell unconscious even with all the shouting around me. I dreamed of my funeral and who would be there. I saw myself in the blue box surrounded by a sobbing crowd of familiar faces. My parents looked horrible. My poor mother clutched her bible and rosary beads. My dad kept his eyes glued to the floor, angry and broken. My little brother Franny, in full uniform, stood near my casket at full attention, his white gloves damp from tears. Donny was there too, trying to keep it together. I heard Scotty screaming for me in the distance. The poor guy loved me, but why was he screaming my name, spitting all over my face, at my wake? Maybe I should have had a closed casket. Suddenly I felt him slapping me. I awoke and found myself back inside the ambulance. Scotty took a deep breath, in and out, and said, “Okay Matt, okay. Don’t do that again.” The pain was relentless, and I couldn’t help but cry. Scotty put a needle into an IV line in my arm and the pain vanished almost immediately. “Don’t give me morphine Scotty,” I managed to whisper. “It killed my grandparents.” Then I lost consciousness again, falling into a world between life and death. I heard someone screaming in the night. Was it me? It was too dark to see. Where’s Donny? I really needed him now. Was I dreaming again or was this some delusion of reality? I slapped myself and felt a sharp sting, jolting me awake. It has been three weeks of hell living inside this apartment. My social life has been placed on indefinite hold. The phone rings constantly but who cares? I don’t answer. The window shades are drawn. I don’t know if its day or night, and I don’t give a shit. Thankfully, the wound has been healing well. But I look at my shoulder and am repulsed by the scar and missing flesh. People say scars are sexy but this one may be the exception. My left arm is still in a sling. At times, the pain is still unbearable. The Percocet I’m still taking makes me pass out. The sink is loaded with paper dishes and plastic cups. Only cops—and maybe some of their wives—realize how dangerous police work can become in a millisecond. Parents of cops usually choose to ignore the reality—it’s too difficult to accept that a life-or-death choice awaits their son or daughter at any moment. A bank robbery turns into a shootout; a wanted felon gets pulled over for a broken tail-light and decides suicide by cop is his only way to avoid a lengthy jail sentence. As a detective, this is my everyday reality. This isn’t supposed to happen in a small town. We’ve never had a police shooting—never. In fact, the last time we had any kind of criminal shooting was ten years ago, and it was a domestic dispute between a father and his cheating son-in-law. These old-school Italians are no joke.
